Day 3 - Top 3 Professors (with explanation)

I can name more than three great professors I’ve had in college, but I’m basing my top three on impact (i.e. the most inspiring ones). The list is in no particular order.

1. Jope Guevara Philosophy of the Human Person I and II

I wasn’t supposed to take his class because I thought I’d rather ace Philo by taking an easier prof (I’m not a very insightful person you see) than actually learn about it. But I do not regret the decision at all. His every lecture just always hits home. I also like how he can answer any question with ease. If you ask me, I believe teaching Philosophy is his arete. Haha.

2. Katherine Lacson Basic TV/Video Production and Philippine History

She’s probably the coolest girl professor I’ve ever had. She teaches with gusto and she can make anything sound so interesting that you don’t want to miss a single bit of what she says. Hers is the only history class I did well in, fortunately because of her creative requirements. The best thing about this professor is that you’ll learn beyond what is in the syllabus.

3. Albert Lagliva Philosophy of Religion

Without question the most amusing professor I’ve taken, with all his catch phrases and his manner of speaking. But more than that, understanding the philosophy of religion was easy thanks to him. Because if I had to learn how to hope the “academic” way, I’d probably just give up. I’m glad that his was my last class ever in college.
